Biometric Machine Setup Guide

Workforce is fully integrated with biometric machines allowing admins to register their employee's fingerprints and face into the system. Once registered workers are able to check-in/out of their attendance using their biometric data.
This tutorial includes:

Biometric Setup and Installation
Step 1: Download the Application
Extract the ZIP file and download the application below.
Step 2: Install Application
Double click on "BiometricSetup"

Step 3: Start the Installation Wizard
Click "Next"

Step 4: Select Installation Folder
Click "Next"

Step 5: Confirm Installation
Click "Next"

Step 6: Complete Installation
Wait for the installation to complete and click "Close"

Step 7: Open Folder (Where the application is installed)
Click “Local Disk (C)”.
Double click “Program Files (x86)”.

Step 8: Open Application Folder
Double click the “Biometric” folder.

Step 9: Open Application
Right-click “ Register_SDK_x86”.

Step 10: Run Application as Administrator
Click “ Run as administrator”.

Step 11: Allow Control Permissions
Click “Yes”.

Step 12: Confirm Command Processor
Windows Command Processor will automatically start.
Click “OK” when the prompt appears.

Good Job! You've successfully installed the Biometric Application on your device.
Setting Up Biometric Device with Workforce
Once you have installed the Biometric application onto your device, you can now set up the biometric machine with Workforce.
Follow these steps to set up a biometric device with Workforce:
Step 1: Open Biometric Application
Double click the “Biometric” icon on the desktop.

Step 2: Add a new Biometric Device
A new screen will pop up.
Click “ Add Biometric”.

Please note that to begin using the Biometrics with the Attendance System, it needs to be connected to the biometric device first.

Step 3: Connect your Biometric Device
Press the “M/OK” button on the device.

Step 4: Open the COMM page
Search for and select the icon called “COMM”.
Press the “M/OK” button on the icon.

Step 5: Key In IP Address and TCP Comm Port to Biometric Application
Take note of the IP Address(A) and TCP Comm Port(B).

Key in the IP Address(A) and TCP Comm Port(B) numbers into the boxes in the system.
Click “Connect”.

Step 6: Complete Biometric Connection
Once the device is connected, the status in the system will change to “Connected”.

Step 7: Open the Settings page in Workforce
In Workforce, click on “Settings” in the side menu.

Step 8: Open the Biometric Machines page
Click “Biometric Machines”.

Step 9: Open Application
Click “Create Machine”.

Step 10: Register Biometric Device
Key in the “Machine Name”. (E.g. Guardhouse Biometric)
Key in the “Serial Number”.
Note: Look at the back of the biometric device for the serial number.

Step 11: Confirm & Save Biometric Device
Click “Save” once all the details have been keyed in.

Step 12: Go to Settings on your Kiosk
Click on the “Settings” icon at the top right of the screen.

Step 13: Login Verification
Enter the login ID
Enter the password
Then click “Login”
Note: Use the admin login credentials of the facility where the Biometric Machine was added to the Settings page.

Step 14: Assign Biometric Device
Select the dropdown and choose the biometric device.
Select "Select Machine" to Confirm and Save
